Getting married is a huge step in a relationship. Women dream about the man they will marry from the time they’re little girls playing dress up. Do guys do that??? Don’t think SO! For some men, even the thought of marriage sends a cold shiver down their spines. So what makes a man finally want to settle down? Well for one, he has to want to. Second he has to find the right woman. Once you do those things it’s pretty easy…..NOT!. It takes a lot of hard work and faith.
Too often in society, couples rush into marriage without having a solid foundation, thinking that everything will be all roses and sunshine once they are married… Not so much!
PRE-MARITAL COUNCELING!!! I’m very thankful that my wife and I enrolled in pre-marital counceling. I very much recommend it to anyone thinking of getting married! We worked alot of things out that most couples struggle with in their first few years of marriage. I guess you could say we got it out of our systems! Seriously though, the sessions with Pastor Ron helped us to be completely on the same page with everything… and I do mean everything. Every situation that you could think of came up, from in laws and family involvement, to children and finances. We discussed things that I think most couples overlook, and they end up struggling with later.
With any building or structure, the foundation is crucial for stability and longevity. Give your you marriage the strong foundation that it deserves!!
